Starting on August 18th, 2007, I'll be leaving my house in suburban Chicago and riding my bicycle to Portland, Oregon. On September 22nd, I have to catch a flight back home, so that means I have to cover the ~2400 miles to Portland before then.

On the way there, I'm planning on seeing a lot of the natural wonder that dots the sparsely-populated middle of the country, including Badlands National Park, Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills, Devils Tower, the Bighorn Mountains, Yellowstone National Park, and the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho.
